Technical Ambassadors Competition 2007
The Fourth Annual ChicTech Retreat held on April 21st -
22nd
Thirty-three attendees for the Fourth Annual ChicTech Retreat Weekend were treated to educational activities, engaging games, and awarded with prizes. The Department of Computer Science faculty, staff, student counselors, and volunteers staged the culmination of this year's Technical Ambassador's Competition (TAC), part of the department's ChicTech outreach program. Seventeen teams (63 students) entered TAC this year.
"The Retreat is becoming more and more popular. Girls, in my opinion, are starting to see how Computer Science fits into their everyday lives. Girls are already working on their projects for next year," said Sonya Harris, program coordinator in diversity for the Department of Computer Science. "Our outreach initiatives are working in their favor."
