Cross Disciplinary Computing
The interactions of computing technology with the sciences, arts, business, and humanities are defining 21st century American culture. Through its initiatives in cross disciplinary computing, DCS hopes to engender new kinds of awareness and enable new ways of experiencing and advancing society.
These programs promote collaborations in research and education between DCS faculty and that of other units. The programs enable non-CS faculty to spend time becoming familiar with and exploiting the robust resource base and infrastructure of the Siebel Center. It affords members of the CS department with opportunities to apply foundational CS principals and theories to advance research and education in the sciences, arts, and humanities.
