It seems like it would be in the spirit of MPI_PROC_NULL to have the
translation of MPI_PROC_NULL be MPI_PROC_NULL, but one could also read the
description of MPI_GROUP_TRANSLATE_RANKS as allowing one to treat it as an
invalid rank.  I would be curious to find out what the other implementors do?
