Research Interests

My research interests include computational linguistics, computer vision, and programming language tools to support language and vision research. Right now, I'm working on unsupervised algorithms that learn word boundaries from transcribed speech.

Schedule (Spring 2008, still unstable)

In the following table, colored meetings occur most weeks. Uncolored meetings occur in some weeks but not others (e.g. alternate weeks). Due to childcare constraints, I'm usually on an early schedule and not in the office much after 5pm. When nothing is shown on the schedule, I'm very likely to be in my office if it's a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. On Wednesday afternoons and Fridays, I'm there about half the time.
