I am Kumaresh Pattabiraman, a second year Masters student in Computer Science @ UIUC. I work with Professor ChengXiang Zhai in the Text Information Management Group at UIUC. I got my Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai, India in May 2007.

I am also a professional chess player with a FIDE rating of 2108. I come from Chennai, a city in India where I have spent all of my 21 wonderful years before coming to Urbana in Fall 07. Everything about Chennai is hot - the weather, the food and the girls!
