Short Bio

I received my B.S. degree and the first M.S. degree in computer science from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.  Being a software engineer, I worked at IBM China Software Development Laboratory for a year. Since Aug. 2003, I have been pursuing my Ph.D. degree at Department of Computer and Information Science, University of Pennsylvania. After earning my second M.S. degree in Aug. 2004, I transferred to the Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working with Professor Carl A. Gunter. Research Interests

My research interests mainly focus on information security, including control network security, application security,  access control and trust management etc. Currently, I'm focusing on power grid system security, especially the security for substation automation.

I'm also interested in security relevant area in networks, distributed systems and programming language.
