NSF Infrastructure Experience 2005
2005 NSF CISE/CNS Infrastructure Experience Workshops
Siebel Center for Computer
Science
Urbana, Illinois
July 27, 2005

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is handling the arrangements for the two workshops, which are for the principal investigators of NSF/CISE infrastructure awards.
The NSF CISE Infrastructure Program is funding two parallel Infrastructure Experience Workshops. The goal of these workshops is for the PIs who have infrastructure grants in these areas to exchange (a) experiences about their lessons learned/failures, (b) experiences about unexpected/pleasant surprises, (c) best buy practices of equipment, (d) demonstrations of neat engineering solutions that came out of the NSF CISE Infrastructure, (e) creation of experience portals in these areas, and other experiences. The NSF Infrastructure Experience Workshops are organized into two areas:
- NSF Infrastructure Experiences in Pervasive Computing
- NSF Infrastructure Experiences in Cluster Computing
The NSF Infrastructure Experience
Workshops will be held in parallel:
- in the Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Siebel Center, 201 North Goodwin Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61801
- on July 27, 2005 (Wednesday)
