NSF Infrastructure Experience 2005

2005 NSF CISE/CNS Cluster Computing Infrastructure Experience Workshop

Call for Extended Abstracts

The attendees of the NSF-funded Infrastructure Experience Workshop on Cluster Computing are encouraged to submit two page extended abstracts reporting on one of the following topics:

  • lessons learned/ failures/problem experiences with in building clusters
  • unexpected pleasant surprises and experiences with establishing the infrastructure
  • best buying practices and establishing relationships with vendors

Submission Guidelines

  • The deadline for the abstract submissions is July 15, 2005.
  • Submitted abstracts must be in electronic PDF format.
  • The format of the extended abstracts should be: 2 pages, double column, ACM-style format, 10pt font or larger.

The submissions will NOT be peer-reviewed since the NSF goal is to share any experiences that you have gathered in cluster computing during the NSF CISE Infrastructure grant lifetime. The abstracts will be published in proceedings distributed to participants of the workshop and also posted into the experience workshop portal that will be accessible throughout the year by the academic community.

All submissions should be emailed to abstracts@cs.uiuc.edu. Please put Cluster Computing Workshop Abstract in the Subject of the email.
