·    1/14 - No Class/All Campus Holiday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 19)

·    1/14 - MP group formation: for MPs, please form groups of up to four students and email group formation to TA by 1/26

·         1/28 – MP1 is out. Deadline is on Monday, February 9, 2009. Delivery of the MP1 is via demonstration on Monday, February 9, 5-7 pm in room 0216 (Linux Lab). Sign-up Sheet will be provided during the class on Monday, February 9, 11-11:50am.

·         1/28 – There will be a discussion session for MP1 on Monday, February 2, 2009 in room 3401 SC at 7pm.

·         2/09 – MP2 is out. Deadline is on Monday, March 2, 2009. Delivery of MP2 is via demonstration on Monday, March 2, 5-7pm in 216 SC. Sign-up sheet will be provided during the class on Monday, March 2, 11-11:50am.

·         2/16 – There will be a discussion session for MP2 on Monday, February 16, 2009, in room 3401 SC at 7pm.

·         2/24 – We have midterm on Monday, March 9, 2009 in class (50 minutes exam). There will be an exam review session on Friday, March 6 in class.

·    2/28 -  Homework 1 is out. Deadline is Friday, March 6 midnight.

·         2/24 – The class on Friday, March 13, 2009 will be canceled due to EOH that needs our classroom.

·         3/07 – HW1 solutions will be posted at 5pm (due to few Homework Submission delays), March 7, 2009

·         3/16 – MP3 is out. Deadline is on Monday, April 6, 2009. Delivery of MP3 is via demonstration on Monday, April 6, 2009, 5-7pm in 216 SC. Sign-up sheet will be provided during the class on Monday, April 6, 11-11:50am.

·    3/17 - Midterm Solutions are out and can be found under ' Homework and Machine Problems' link.

·         3/30 – MP3 Discussion Session will be on Tuesday, March 31, in 3401 SC at 7pm.

·         4/7 – MP4 is out. Deadline is Friday, May 1, 2009. However, there will be a pre-competition on Thursday, April 30, 5-7pm, in 216 SC to decide the final four projects that will go to the final competition on May 1, 5-7pm.

·         4/8 – MP4 Discussion Session will be on Tuesday, April 14, in 3401 SC at 7pm.

·         4/21 – Demonstration Steps for MP4 are posted. These will be the steps you will need to ask on April 30 and then the finalists during the competition on May 1.

·         4/27 – Peer Evaluation is due May 8, 2009, 5pm via email to the instructor at klara@illinois.edu. Read carefully the peer evaluation document (doc) (pdf).

·         4/27 – There will be NO CLASS on May 1, 2009 due to cs414 competition preparation.

·         4/27 – MP4 sign-up sheet for the Thursday pre-competition demonstrations will be provided during the class on Wednesday, April 29, 11-11:50am.

·         4/27 – Final exam is on Tuesday, May 12, 7-10 pm, Room 1109 SC.

·         4/28 – Homework 2 is out. Deadline is May 6, Wednesday, midnight via email to klara@cs.uiuc.edu or you can drop it in 3104 SC –

           NO HANDWRITTEN HOMEWORK WILL BE ACCEPTED !!!

·         5/01 – Project Competition Results: The winner of the competition is Group 2 with members Jonathan Chao, William Sniegowski, Shuang Yu, Yuhao

           Zheng. The second place winner is Group 5 with group members Imranul Hoque and Patrick Cain. The third place winner is Group 3 with members

           Andrew Baranec, Eric Barr, Lucas Bivens and Cole Coats. Congratulation to all winners for impressive designs of the P2P video server project and

           even more impressive implementations, executions and professional presentations to the judges!

·         5/6 – Prof. Nahrstedt’s office hours on Wednesday, May 6 from 9-10 will be postponed to Wednesday, May 6, 12-1pm in room 3104 SC.
