Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations

Description:
Introduction to numerical techniques for initial and boundary value problems in partial differential equations; includes finite difference and finite element discretization techniques, direct and iterative solution methods for discrete problems, and programming techniques and usage of FORTRAN/C/Matlab packages.

CS 257; one of MATH 380, 385, 386 or 441.
