Fall 2008 Profs. Prabhakaran and Viswanathan
Examinations
There will be two midterms and a final exam.
- First midterm: 7-9 pm, Thursday October 2 in MH 103 (Mumford Hall).
- Second Midterm: 7-9pm, Tuesday November 4 in MSEB 100 (Material
Science and Engineering Building).
- Final: 8-11am, December 17 in Siebel 1404; conflict exam is on
December 16 between 1:30 and 4:30 in Siebel 1105. If you plan to
take the conflict exam you need to email Manoj and/or Mahesh ASAP.
Please warn us of conflicts about a week before each midterm, so we
can arrange conflict exams. Conflicts with the final need are handled
via the
official university policy which stipulates (among other things)
that you need to tell us of the problem no later than the last day of
classes.
The first midterm will test you on the material on regular languages
(Chapter 1), and second midterm will test context free languages
(Chapter 2). The final exam will be comprehensive.
