Announcements:
- December 7: Important information regarding the final exam has been posted to the top of the Exams page of this website. Please do check it, as your room assignments are different from the midterms.
- November 20: You can turn in homework 10 any time before Sunday, 11/26 8am.
- November 7: Midterm 2 will be held from 7-9 pm on Thursday November 9. Your room assignments are the same as they were last midterm. Please see the exams page for more information.
- October 19: CORRECTION: Homework 7 is now due on Tuesday 10/24 at 8am. It has been updated with three corrections. Problem 1a takes a sum up to 1/(2^n). Problem 1d now clarifies for a positive integer n. Problem 5 is now shorter and states what you learned in section instead of making you recreate it, and we have shortened the problem to take out the bogus question. Please download and use the updated version.
- October 17: Midterm 1 solutions and grading rubrics are now available on the web here, and section leaders are returning midterms in class this week. Scantron answer sheets will not be passed back to students, as it'd be too easy for those with less-than-perfect ethics to erase penciled-in answers. If you truly feel there's a problem with the scantron portion of your grade after looking at the solutions, please speak with Cinda.
- October 13: Midterm 1 Grades have been posted to Compass. Statistics are available on the Exams page and on the newsgroup.
- October 4: THERE ARE ERRORS IN HW 5 SOLUTIONS. I have posted corrections on the newsgroup. PLEASE read these before the midterm. I apologize for any confusion.
- October 2: Important information regarding the first midterm has been posted to the top of the Exams page of this website. Please read it carefully. It lists some things to bring to the exam as well as lists the room assignments. This information has (as always) also been cross-posted to the newsgroup.
- September 27: CORRECTION: Homework 5, Problem #1 should read "Given the functions f: B → C and g: A → B". Please note the change in the domain and codomain of each of the functions. If you downloaded the homework before today around 11:45am, please make this correction before solving the problem. (In fact, you won't have much luck solving the problem otherwise.)
- September 20: CORRECTION: Homework 4, Problem #1 should read "Let Ai = {i,i+1, i+2, ...}." Please note the addition of the ", ...". If you downloaded the homework before today at 2:10am, please make this correction before solving the problem.
- September 14: The first midterm will be held on Thursday, October 5, from 7-9pm. (We double checked the date this time!)
- September 11: Please note that Jon's section on Thursday from 12pm-1pm has been moved to Transportation 203 (not 204).
- September 6: The final exam schedule has been released. You can find it here. We will let you know room schedules when it gets closer to the exam date.
