Projects for CSE 401/CS 450/MATH 450/ECE 491

The course final project only applies to graduate students enrolled in 4 hours of credit. Since the course only meets for 3 hours per week, this project accounts for the extra 1 hour of credit, and is graded on a pass/fail basis.

Possible types of projects include:

Please feel free to consult with the instructor if you are unsure about which type of project you wish to complete, and what sort of project would be acceptable.

To ensure that a given project is appropriate in scope and content, students electing this option must submit a brief description of the proposed project to the instructor for approval before beginning implementation of the project. The instructor may suggest modifications or alternatives, if appropriate. Projects will be evaluated for both correctness and creativity. The final hand-in for each project will be deemed either satisfactory or unsatisfactory. The project makes no numerical contribution to the final grade.

If a student is enrolled in 4 credit hours but does not complete the project, that student will be given an "incomplete" in the class. It is important that a student does not enroll in 4 credit hours if he/she does not plan to do the project.
