CS411 Newsgroup

Our newsgroup will be used to post questions about the discussions in class, assignment questions, and general questions as well. The news server is stand-alone and separate from the general USENET news server, so you will need to specify news.cs.uiuc.edu as your news server in your browser. The newsgroup name is class.cs411. Please follow the following steps to get set up:

• First create an account through this web page https://webapps.cs.uiuc.edu/services/newsgroups/ . You will need to log in with your netID. Changing this password will only affect your news group account.
• Now you can configure your newsgroup client. This procedure depends on what software you are using. Go to https://agora.cs.uiuc.edu/display/tsg/News+Reader+Documentation and scroll down to find specific client instructions for your newsgroup client.
• Subscribe to the class.cs411 newsgroup.
