Engineer in Residence Program

"The goal of (the program) is to open students' eyes to all the different things you can do with your degree. It's a unique treat to be able to share experiences and ideas with computer science students in a relaxed atmosphere." - Ross Erlebacher '88 B.S. CS, '89 M.S. CS, '95 M.B.A. (Northwestern); President of Ross Erlebacher and Associates; Engineer in Residence 2005

Our Engineer in Residence Program is designed to give our students a window to the world of work through our accomplished alumni, while also offering our guest engineers the rewards of direct involvement with some of the most talented computer science students in the country.

Alumni reside for a day or more with our students and faculty - sharing their expertise to help students parlay their Computer Science degrees into real world applications and successful careers. Engineers in Residence can participate in activities such as informal lunches with students to discuss issues relevant to CS careers; private office hours to meet with individual students; and computer science classes in their area of expertise.

If you would like to participate, please contact Safiya Novle at snoble@uiuc.edu, or 217-265-6823.
