CS Alumni Association Overview
The Computer Science Alumni Association (CSAA) was formed in September 1993 and is a constituent of the University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA). There are approximately 8,800 department alumni from both the College of Engineering and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; about one-third of them are also members of the University alumni association.
The goals of the CSAA are:
- To advance the standing, reputation, accomplishments and leadership of the department, the college, and the university by promoting the participation of its members in university affairs
- To develop a platform for CS alumni to network with each other and build upon each other's successes and experiences
- To develop programs that effectively engage alumni so that the CS department is a continual part of their lifelong learning process
The benefits of joining the CSAA are:
- Automatic membership in the UIAA and access to all membership privileges
- Privileges to the University of Illinois Library, the largest public library in US
- Subscription to Illinois Alumni magazines and the CS Alumni News
- Invitations to CS events in your local area
